  2. Install Plugin For Hikvision

This video is a temporary fix until Hikvision release a new firmware to allow the DVRs and NVRs to work natively without the need for a NPAPI plugin. Has anyone fathomed how to view Hikvision on a Mac with OS updated to the latest Catalina? I have tried iVMS4200 - crashes every thime Sea Monkey - Live view not working Never managed to get safari or Firefox - even with plugins - but they're totally out of the running now. Any genius that has cracked the Hikvision/Mac mystery please help!!!!!

Update 19th September 2018:
Apple Safari 12 and Hikvision cameras
One of the best features of an IP camera is the ability to simply view it within your browser. Unfortunately in order to do this though, you need a plug-in called web components. When you try to view your cameras on PC you are prompted with a message notifying you that you need to download the plug-in, however on a Mac, there is no such notification leading users to believe that their Hikvision cameras are faulty or possible not compatible.
Now, if you head over to http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/tools_82.html you will be able to download the Mac OS Plug-in. Installation is fairly straightforward. Once you have installed the plug in, you should be able to view your cameras within safari. Make sure you have 'Webcomponents' selected from the plug-in list though.
Everything should work from this point. If you experience any issues past this point, feel free to ask any questions below.

Install Plugin For Hikvision

Any thoughts on the following? I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Windows 10 appears to have a new browser called Microsoft Edge. I am unable to see Live View when opening my Hikvision cams (DS-2CD2032-I 5.3.0) with Microsoft Edge. It keeps requesting me to download and install the plug-in (webcomponents). I have uninstalled webcomponents and re-installed it multiple times with Edge closed. I get the same request every time I try to open with Edge and Live View is not available. I am able to see Live view when I use IE 11 and Google Chrome.
